For those using the crossing, the user experience has been carefully considered. A robust Polara TM “Bulldog” push button with audible feedback ensures clear activation. Enhanced visibility is achieved through BC MOT-compliant reflective signs, and the LED light bars provide exceptional brightness with emergency vehicle type flashers. When activated, the lights flash in the pulsing RRFB pattern, accompanied by simultaneous side flashes to indicate clearly to pedestrians that the system is active.
Furthermore, this locally manufactured system benefits from cloud-based monitoring and management. This technology allows for real-time oversight of its operation, battery status, frequency of use, and performance.
